Scholarships and Testing
ACT Test Dates:
Upcoming Test – December 8th
You must register by November 2nd.
To register online, look up test fees or check your scores, you can go to www.actstudent.org. When you sign up for the ACT, have scores sent to at least ONE State college or State University to ensure Bright Futures receives them. Chipola and Tallahassee Community College are not in this category.
SAT Test Dates:
December 1st
You must register by November 1st.

Elks National Foundation – 500 four-year scholarships – Due December 7th – See Scholarship book in Mr. Coxwell’s room or Guidance Office.
Sun Trust $1000 Scholarship Sweepstakes – Winner chosen from October 26 to May 10 – visit www.offtocollege.info for more information.
Dixie Youth Scholarship – $2000 – Must have played 1 year of Dixie Youth Baseball before reaching age 13 – call 850-643-8513 for more information.
The Florida JCI Senate, Inc. – $1000 – visit fljcifouncation.org for more information.

Bright Futures Scholarship Requirements (see website for more information):
Gold Seal – 3.0 Core GPA, 3 vocational classes, 30 service hours, must attend a vocational school
Medallion – 3.0 Core GPA, 75 service hours, ACT score of at least 22
Academic – 3.5 Core GPA, 100 service hours, ACT score of at least 28
